Norfolk Southern recognizes safest chemical customers
Norfolk Southern Corporation has presented its Thoroughbred Chemical Safety Award to 31 chemical customers for their safe handling of hazardous chemicals moving on the Norfolk Southern system in 2000.
To be considered for an award, a customer must ship more than 1,000 carloads of hazardous chemicals with Norfolk Southern during a calendar year without causing a single release of product.
